Capybaras VS Plants Plant Tier List

Qualitative S–F tiers for plant waves, mutation flex, and income lanes — no invented drop rates.

Plant Tier List

Plants are the paycheck in Capybaras VS Plants — your capybaras defeat plant waves to generate Cash online and offline. Unlike capybaras and eggs, plants are not units you equip. They spawn on battle lanes, absorb damage, drop money, and occasionally mutate into flex pieces worth screenshotting near your tree. Scarlett the Dog Group does not publish official plant stat sheets or drop tables, so this page ranks plants in qualitative S–F tiers by progression value: income contribution, mutation rarity, and showcase appeal.

We separate income plants (what your army farms daily) from flex plants (weather-mutated showcases). Both matter — one funds eggs, the other signals endgame dedication to visitors.

How we rank plants

Same scale as the Tier List Hub:

  • S tier — Best income or rarest flex; worth building lanes around
  • A tier — Strong daily earners or highly visible mutations
  • B tier — Solid mid-game waves most plots clear routinely
  • C tier — Early-game fodder replaced as capybaras scale
  • D tier — Low income, mostly tutorial or background waves
  • F tier — Outclassed immediately; safe to ignore for efficiency

Weather, tree level, and Totem of Wealth shift real Cash per plant kill without changing base tier labels.

S tier — Income anchors and crown flex

Mutated income plants (weather)

Plants carrying active weather mutation tags during income events belong in S tier for the duration of the buff. Rain, storms, and aurora-style events mutate plants alongside eggs and capybaras — see Weather Mutations. When community reports confirm a mutation doubles or spikes lane Cash, route your A and S tier capybaras to that lane until the event ends.

Exact mutation names vary by patch. Screenshot unusual plants so the Updates Hub can reflect new weather types.

Rare showcase plants (flex)

Oversized, neon, or event-exclusive plant visuals that players display near the tree — not combat waves — are S-tier flex even if Cash per kill is average. Scarlett the Dog Group designed the tree as social proof; a rare plant display matters for collection hunters.

Flex plants are optional for efficiency players. Income players can ignore them entirely.

Post–Update 2 boss-adjacent plant drops

Update 2 boss content introduced loot tables players still map. Any plant-linked drop confirmed from Beat the Boss routes that raises steady lane income rates S tier until balance patches normalize it.

We do not invent boss drop percentages — tier placement follows community consensus after patches.

A tier — Reliable earners and strong mutations

Standard mid-late plant waves

Once your army includes Ghost Capybara or mid-tier shop hatchlings, the default plant waves on your primary battle lane sit in A tier. They pay consistently, respawn on timers, and fund parallel egg hatches without special events.

Assign your strongest capybaras closest to these lanes. Totem of Wealth from UPDATE2 amplifies every A-tier wave kill.

Light weather mutations

Plants with partial mutation visuals — color shifts without full event tags — rate A tier for flex hunters and B-to-A income bumps depending on your plot. Document what you see; light mutations may upgrade during longer weather windows.

B tier — Mid-game baseline

Default waves after tutorial

After the first hour, most plots clear B-tier plant waves automatically. Cash per kill is meaningful early but falls behind once tree upgrades and totems scale. Keep capybaras assigned — B-tier income beats empty lanes.

Tree-adjacent decorative plants

Plants grown or displayed through Grow Your Tree progression often sit in B tier for showcase value without competing with battle lane income. Upgrade the tree for multipliers, not for converting display plants into combat units.

C tier — Early progression fodder

Tutorial and starter waves

First-session plant spawns teach the loop: capybara walks, plant dies, Cash appears. C-tier waves disappear from relevance once two or three capybaras fight simultaneously.

New players still need them — How to Play covers the transition out of C-tier farming.

Unmutated low-traffic lanes

Side lanes far from your main capybara path may spawn weaker plants. If reassignment is easy, move fighters to heavier lanes instead of optimizing C-tier side spawns.

D tier — Flex-only or obsolete

Pre-update plant visuals

Balance patches sometimes replace plant models. Old visuals you keep for screenshots are D tier for income — fine near the tree, wrong for battle assignment.

Duplicate mutation snapshots

Second copies of the same flex mutation add collection depth but not income. D tier unless trading flex becomes possible in future updates — currently unsupported.

F tier — Ignore for efficiency

Background ambiance plants

Some plot decorations look like plants but do not pay Cash. F tier for progression — do not confuse them with battle waves.

Bugged zero-pay waves

Occasionally post-patch spawns fail to drop Cash until rejoin. If one lane consistently pays zero after a server refresh, treat it as F tier temporarily and report through Roblox — not a strategic choice.

Most players should optimize income plants first through Best Cash Method fundamentals, then hunt flex during Weather Mutations sessions.

Weather and plant tier shifts

Weather is the largest variable in plant tier placement:

  1. Before event — note baseline Cash per minute on primary lane
  2. During event — watch for mutation icons on plant models
  3. After event — decide whether mutated lane stays S tier or reverts to A/B

Totem of Fortune from UPDATE2 may influence mutation odds — pair with active weather per Totem Tier List. Fortune does not replace Wealth for raw income.

Tree upgrades and plant scaling

Tree level multiplies effective plant income without changing which wave spawns where. Under-leveled trees make A-tier waves feel like C-tier earnings. Balance tree spending with egg purchases using Grow Your Tree guidance.

Rare tree showcase plants are flex — rank separately from battle lane income.

Honest limits

We do not list:

  • Exact Cash per plant kill values
  • Spawn rate percentages
  • Complete boss plant drop tables

Those numbers shift silently in hotfixes. Qualitative tiers stay useful when spreadsheets would lie after the next patch.

Day-to-day plant tier usage

  1. Assign capybaras to highest-paying lane, not prettiest plant model
  2. Move fighters when weather mutates a lane to S-tier temporarily
  3. Display flex plants at tree; fight income plants at battle markers
  4. Re-check this page after Update 2 hotfixes and new weather types
  5. Cross-read Plants item guide for Cash loop mechanics
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Capybaras VS Plants players.

Is there an official plant tier list from the developers?

No. Scarlett the Dog Group has not published plant stat tiers. Our S–F list is qualitative community guidance based on income and flex value.

Do mutated plants earn more Cash?

Some weather mutations on battle lane plants temporarily spike income. Others are cosmetic flex only. Screenshot and compare Cash before and after mutations on your plot.

Should I focus on income plants or flex plants?

Income first. Battle lane waves with Wealth totem and strong capybaras fund progression. Flex plants near the tree are optional collection goals.

Did Update 2 change plant tiers?

Boss content and balance fixes may have shifted loot and wave scaling. Re-check lane income after patches listed on the Update 2 page.

How do plants relate to offline earnings?

Capybaras fight plants offline on assigned lanes. Plant tier matters indirectly — stronger capybaras clear higher-value waves while you are away.
